Only The Good Die Young

42 is such a short life,

You were the best Mother and Wife.

I was your young Cub, and you my Mamma Bear,

If anyone tried  to mess with me, you were always there.

Whenever I'd get hurt you'd kiss it to make it better,

You'd dry my eyes as they grew wetter.

Your the most amazing woman I've ever met,

I miss the times we spent, you too....I bet.

The best advice always came from you,

You could cheer me right up when I was blue.

I don't know how I've managed without you by my side,

I had lost my bestfriend, the one I could confide.

I'd never do wrong in your eyes,

Even when you caught me up telling lies.

Me and You had such a stron connection together,

After so much time not seeing you, my heart began to weather.

Now all that is there, ia an empty space,

That nothing could ever replace.

I know you'd want me to move on with my life,

But loosing you was like getting stabbed with a dull knife.

As the years passed, it felt like someone was twisting it,

All the memories rush to me, and I'm back in this pit.

I miss you so much no word could explain,

I am just glad you're in no more pain.

They said when you died you didn't feel anything,

I vividly remember that day, all it did was rain.

The rain was soothing, as if you were crying with me,

I came to relize it was your time to be free.

You were the best Mother and Wife,

42 is such a short life.

But, as they say,"Only the GOOD die young!"
