The Only Intervals

Discords and suspensions embellish my Symphony;

They’re constantly ringing aloud.

I’ve learned that my Song needs some sort of dissonance;

Otherwise there will be no sound.

Nonchord tones are heard as ugly missed notes

to those who don’t see color in chords.

But they have become my only intervals.

-- I’ll learn to love them evermore.
