Only Me

Thu, 06/20/2013 - 13:30 -- V rio V

Walking,walking, down a street

The lights so dim, the space too deep

No other soul but my feet's

As a shopping cart passes by

Talking, talking, to myself

About life, my dreams, and my health

Wipe dust off this empty shelf

Grey ashes lingers memories

A hug, a whisper, will suffice

Any change will be alright

To love, to laugh, to drink with me

And wash away apathy

Nothing happens, the ache still clings

Widens the hole that it brings

Hot-iron brands frozen outcast

Forever on me it lasts

So walking, talking, down this road

None to see, nowhere to go

Maybe someone will lift this load

And together, touch the sky
