Only My Shadow Attending To Me

Torn apart from the inside out
Core severed, infection spreading
Strength surfaces with much doubt
Reinforcement withered, structure pleading
Only my shadow attending to me

Rhythmic harmony exists no more
Aching numbness to be longing for
Leaking poison brings its' burning breath
A false promise shall end in death
Only my shadow attending to me

Like easily fired weapons of destruction
Ending in sweet grief, creating mighty war
Always anticipating, proceeding with caution
Guard's down, prisoner of war once more
Only my shadow attending to me
