Only Napping Beauty

A maiden fair under

Great spell of slumber

All but forsaken in high castle yonder

So shrowded in thorns in every maner of size

Truly would make the demise

Of any man, be he young or old

That might make the climb

Would he be so bold

To rescue the girl in need

So long had it been

Since any one'd seen her

The castle was no longer to be distinguished

A brave young man proud and bold

Took up the quest that he long had been told

Would be the freedom of that lady fair

So off he went to the place where he

Was certian to find that girl in need

But alas the castle he spotted

Was not the one which contained what he sought

The castle he came to

Contained a fair maiden

But no curse resided there to be broken

In he came breaking open the doors

(Though not at all locked I must let you know)

And rushed to the side of a girl in a bed

'Here I have found,' said the knight quite elated

'That treasure and beauty whom I shall save from such status'

And here the maiden, rubbing sleep from her eyes

Let out a scream, to the knights surprise

And soundly slapped him across the face

For indeed this maiden was only napping

And had no desire for such an awakening

So from that day forward the knight told the tale

Of how he had found that maiden asleep in the castle

And woke her with such a kiss that it broke the spell

But instead of true love as his payment to tell

He was granted only with a restraining order
