Only in New Orleans

With the slightest stroke of serendipity,

My passage to a happy ending was

Opened.

And yet we started as

The most improbable pair.

Everyday. Day and Night.

Trying to reach my dream,

As if it were a

Firefly in the bayou.

He was down on his luck,

Though brimming with vivacity.

Driven by charm and the will to get

Back on top.

Betrayed and taken advantage of,

He was brought down until he

Croaked.

I, on the other hand

Had the

Determination.

But that wasn’t enough.

Passion alone cannot make your

Dreams come alive.

Nevertheless, the abrupt encounter,

The emotions,

The friendships,

The journey, and

The love

Was the new beginning of another adventure that I had always wanted.

Our new beginning was
