Only Once

I swore I'd only do it once.

One time.

Once.

After the third time I decided to quit.

Six more and I knew I was hooked.

Something about it just felt right.

Turned out that feeling was addiction.

Crazy right? That wasn't me.

Except it was.

I could feel myself split.

Two souls seperate,

watching myself twirl away

But now it wasn't me.

It really wasn't me.
