The Only One I Need

You think about "necessities" and what that truly means,

What could I never live without?  What would that really be?

The obvious might be water, some food, and a good home,

Some would simply choose to live a life not left alone.

I chose a certain someone, a name you may recognize and know,

You may even judge me for it, but the name I will now show.

The only one I'll ever need in life is Jesus Christ,

The Son of God who came to save and give eternal life.

Without Him I am nothing, but with Him I have hope,

Before I got to know Him, my life was basically a joke.

Without Him I would never be the woman I've become,

I could never live without Jesus--without Him life is no fun.
