Only the Strong Survive

Halls filled with different generations,

All trying to get through the day

Students saying,

I don’t need to know this to get paid

Fingers pointed,

Each and each other

No one feeling anything but pain

Always saying,

Same shit different day

Battling something deep inside,

Yet trying to get by on empathy

Excuses, excuses, excuses

Where are we gonna be in a day,

When everyone is cutting corners

No child left behind,

Bull shit for those who

Wanna try

Held back,

Wings tied up in knots

Teachers pushing us through

What else they gonna do?

World going to hell,

Instead of higher education

Students are getting

Higher and higher

Times flying by,

It’s time for only the strong survive
