Only A Temptation

What’s the point of asking for you if you'll only push me down?

You laugh at my pain like it’s and deny it as if I can’t hear you.

I’ve never meant anything to you; I was just another pawn in your silly game.

I can’t take anymore of this wishing and waiting.

Im done.

I watched you ruin my family, again I heard you laughing.

I see you all the time and it sends chills down my spine.

You’ve never treated anyone with respect have you?

You affect everyone that comes in contact with your presence.

Never again will I play your useless mind games.

Is it the way you move my hair from my face or how you gently kiss my hand?

Maybe it’s when im looking at you , realizing what i've finally accomplished.

The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to truly understand you, but I see now I never will.

You’ll mess my life up with every word

you speak and every gesture you make.

Why do you do this to people like me? Were so young and so fragile.

I’ve made up my mind and you’re nothing to me anymore.

It’s like looking at a blank paper now, theres nothing to stick around for.

Now that im done with you; you’re ready to show me who you really are?

You to be sweet to me will be like hell freezing over, a miracle.

Nothing in the world has ever affected me as much as you have.

You’ve messed up families and you’ve messed up lives.

You’ve even taken some in the process.

I no longer have a need for you in my life the way I thought I did before.

Love, darling, I’ve realized now you are my enemy.

Theres no need to come back to your conniving ways.

Now I’ve finally realized all your tricks and games were to show us who you really are.

You, love, are now and have always been, only a temptation.
