The Only Thing I Need

What is the one thing that I can't live without?

It's not the crisp, fresh pages of a book,

Or a GPS to pilot my route.

Not trendy clothing to enhance my look.

It isn't money, fortune, or treasure,

Nor the place I reside or bed I lay.

I do not need food or drink for pleasure,

Or a cup of joe to begin my day.

Yet with my thing, my wisdom may exceed.

I have a guide who cares not for beauty,

And is the priceless fortress that I need,

And strengthens, provides, and nourishes me.

You see this thing is many things in one,

In fact, he's the Father, Spirit, and Son.
