only thirteen

I put up a fight

I held on tight

But he was gone

It couldn’t be undone

He packed his bags

Took all his rags

Said this wasn’t goodbye

Clear was his lie

He drove away

Made my life gray

I no longer bother

So to you I say, goodbye father.
