Only a year ago


Only a year ago

I was different

not quite happy but not quite sad

i wore the brightest of colors

the reddest red

the greenest green

the bluest blue

and now color is the enemy

color has escaped me, along with my little happiness

the grayest grays

the blackest blacks

the darkest darkness has consumed me
