Do as you please

I don't live to stifle your joy

dance through the day

only God may judge

and I'm no saint

No need to shave your hair

spending hours showering just to please

my unnatural sensibilities

you're a woman, not a child

It's not all about me

take your time, take your space

long baths alone, a party or few

no waking up to 19 missed calls and eccentric voicemails

Breathe.

wear that floral dress with the roses all laced up

you won't ever feel a sting in your cheek

"I'm a man" growled behind closed teeth

I was never loved by someone like you

voice your opinion, please do

yell and speak without fear

tell me the truth, never hesitate

I could never ask you to change

for if I did

what would I miss most?
