In the Open

Half plus half, thats a whole one

But I only have my half, unbroken

Halving what we had, thats broken

Having what we had, unspoken

Spoken aloud, that's lonesome

Broken, allowed to grow some

Interwoven in the crowd, with no one

Frozen in doubt, unchosen

Chasing a dream, awoken

Facing a world that's broken

Bracing for misfortune

Placing my heart in the open
