Open Book

Close the book on the story of each day.

Your mind will tell you no, carry it to the next;

Your heart will say no, I'm breaking again tomorrow;

Your body will say Please, I'm to tired to even get up;

Your eyes won't even want to open, they're tired from the rain;

You tell yourself you're exhausted, let me take the easy way;

But you have to do it no matter what your head says.

Wake up and start the book of the next day;

You have to pump blood even if your heart's in pain;

You have to get up even if you're body seems drained;

You need to look up even if your eyes are drenched in rain;

You have to use confidence, even if there's none left in your veins;

You're mind will try to trick you, convince you happy is the easy way.

I'm living the same story, same book different day.

You have to continue the story...

Because in a book, there's always the next page.
