Open up a Book

Open up a book

To learn from your life

See history before your eyes.

Closed your mouth to hear

The sweetest rhythm of Louisiana dream

Dancing the way her heart sang.

Open up a book

Your generation will need it

Help me to live longer

Knowing your knowledge will never die

My child! You are a gift from above

You keep on reading more books

Then your generation can change all.
