An Open Friend
I know your fears,
And sense you tears,
I know your dreams,
And sense your smile gleam.
Although you share with me
What others will not see,
I am silenced by your brushing hand,
And from speaking I am banned.
Although this is my time to speak
I will not say a peep.
Your secrets are safe with me,
For I am your dearest diary.
