Open Invitation

“Come here.”

I stagger, weight pushes me

“It’s okay.”

Is it?

My eyes are hazy, my mind

Is wounded

“Don’t fight it.”

I want to,

I can’t

Get off of me, Help

Are these words mine?

Are these cries mine?

“You’re enjoying this aren’t you?

You wanted me so bad.”

No.

No invitation

No reason why

Because of my short dress,

High heels

Is this what I deserve?

Have you no self control?

Close your eyes

Think of home

If only home didn’t feel so far away

Who gave you the power?

Who gave you the right?

Who told me I couldn’t stand up and fight?

“Clean yourself up.”

Ill try, I will

But to wash away pain

And disgust

Will take years

“Tell anyone and Ill ruin you.”

I know you can, I know you would

I’m a liar, I’m a slut

But only because of you

You took my light, my innocence

Everything was for you

I’ll be congratulated for being the one you chose

As if you were a god and I was your sacrifice

I didn’t want this

I said no

No invitation

All you saw was

‘open invitation’
