Opening doors

The room was the shade of night

it was always cold and damp

for some reason

today was different

there was a odd blueish glow coming

from the window I forgot was there

Out of spite I place my palm on the cold glass

the ice on the window began to thaw

melting slowly, I move my hand in fear

but the ice was soon gone

Outside was not frozen, but there was

vibrant leaves on the trees, then I realized

it has wbeen summer the whole time

I pushed and pushed on the window

slowing it began to open

today I opened the window

tomorrow I open the door
