Ophelia

O you. O you dear Hamlet! What have you? I loved, I lost, I died. Forever gone. Hamlet, the one I loved, do love, betrayed; Betrayed, I flowers braid, drown in still stream. Water closed overhead, light disappeared, Braided wildflowers float to the sky. Pain numbed my heart until it was frozen, Madness took over, won my mind complete. Hamlet, dear Hamlet who left me alone. “Get thee to a nunnery,” he said once While discarding our love as false and done. So I became as our love, dead and lost, Waiting an eternity for salvation. Hamlet, my Hamlet, don’t leave me behind, Forgive my vices in death if not life.
