Opinions of a Spectator

Let us raise our glasses to the arrogant, To those sitting on their pedestal of pride To those who bath in vanity, and Strut with an egotistical state of mind While the humble are left with empty flutes Let us tip our hats to the deceivers To those who waltz through life’s shortcuts To those who have never slaved the day away and Always manage to take credit where credit is not due While the honest are not given a second glance Let us bow to the miserly To those who know nothing of poverty To those who spend in spite, and Flaunt their fortune with every passing sneer While the penniless are left to grovel in the streets Let us give praise to the selfish To the malicious, to the cruel And give pity to the state of humanity
