An Opportunity

Even though it all fell apart so fast
I wonder why I have to always look back
To the time when everything went wrong
After we were inseparable for so long
I can't apologize if the only thing I did
Was love you just a little bit
Too much - Too late
Now there's so much hate
And I'm here again wondering if
The future is as bright as they say it is
Wondering who I can be without you
Thinking of everything else I have to lose
I have to take a chance to leave home
Just loosen my grip and let it all go
Even thought these memories haunt me
There are a lot of things I wish I could see
There is so much more to look forward to
I need to go out and find something new
An opportunity to be free
And not being afraid of what used to be
I might just be a scared little girl
In this great big world
But the universe is mine if I fly high enough
And maybe some day I'll fall back into love
