Opposites

Passion and pain

A burning flame

I want so bad what’s not good

Containing, releasing

My drive is increasing

I wouldn’t stop it even if I could

Big as a boulder

This chip on my shoulder

Break a piece off and take a bite

Chew and swallow

My presence you wallow

Emotions run high as a kite

Trying to enter

I stab like a splinter

Building, cementing my wall

Brick by brick

Pain in every slick

Such a load to haul

I push and you reach

Creating a breach

Breaking the boundaries set

Yet nothing has changed

And my attitude remains

But things begin to get wet

Wet with tears

My strength and my fears

Both showing clear as day

You wipe my face

And your warm embrace

Makes the wall I built fade away

Stepping out of my shell

A living hell

Not knowing with who to deal

My fairy tale ends

The plot bends

And the story begins to reveal

For all to see

How you and me

Coexist and interact

Confused and dumbfounded

Yet completely astounded

Physics comes into play

While readers say

“Opposites attract”
