Opposites

John 11:9

Jesus replied, “Are there not twelve hours in a day?

If anyone walks around in the daytime, he does not stumble,

because he sees the light of this world.

Give me a day of happiness bathe me now in grief

Let me enjoy the day smiling in the light

It will never be noticed unless darkness is all around

and that is true reality as written in the night

Even just a candle lit can be seen from far away

Yes in total darkness a spark is a lightning bolt

Why do we forget that the day shows all the darkness?

The night seems to hide it from the hearts of gold

Maybe without opposites choice would be lost forever

Maybe without choice true life would disappear

Maybe without darkness truth would be unnoticed

Maybe without truth we would not be here
