Oppressive Success

This I had dreamed

future so bright

Or so it seemed

was it worth the fight

Loved ones claim they know best

forcing my soul away

little did I know it was all a test

begging my soul to stay

One week here

another there

no one to lend an ear

someone give me air!

The familiarities- the call

my family waiting with open arms

to catch my fall

Money cant make you happy

they say

but it beats sitting around heart sappy
