Optimism

If I could change the world, this is what I'd do,

I'd make it a wonderful place to be for both me and you.

An equal world across all seas,

without restricting boundaries.

Where people can live in peace with no regrets,

and breath calmly without war's bitter threats.

Yes this sounds quite nice, indeed it sounds divine.

But we cannot change these in the world, we can only change our state of mind.

So next time something seems disastrous and hopefulness is almost a crime,

fill your glass a little more, and keep it full this time.

I hope this answered your question, and to be sure it really did;

I'll state directly: if I could change one thing in the world, I'd change the negative.
