An Optimist in Perilous times

Why were we born in a time like this

You leave the house, and it might be the last time you felt your mother’s kiss

I speak with no lisp, I say, why do we live in a time like this

Wearing a mask is the  new norm, and we cant rekindle our old form

We are dying from an disease that cant be seen

We’re all confused like we've been knocked out in a boxing ring

Things will never be the same, life as we know it should never sustain

Pain is on every corner, nobody wants to be a mourner

Things will get worse before getting better, that's why we should pray that we live forever

Born at the climax of a story, becoming historic figures in his-story

It's now time to finish the story, luckily it's our time to be seen in glory

It ain't over until the fat woman sings, that's how you know we will succeed.
