Optometry
It is true that eyes have hands.
They are the ligaments by which we sense another’s presence.
One pair of eyes has cold, bony, grasping fingers which chill the heart at a glance;
Another has calloused fists that drive bruises into the bones with a darkened glare;
And one has nails that scratch the skin with each flighty look.
Yes, I have seen and felt the hands of many eyes,
But perhaps the strongest clutch came from the enveloping palms of a stare,
The warmth of which caused sweat to trace the wrists they held.
