Orange Cup

Handed to me
By shaking hands
Hands that touched many
A cup that had been used by many
An old cup
Filled to brim
On a warm April Day
Running outside
Like it was nothing
But how was I suppose to know
By the next summer
Those hands would be gone
No hand to hold onto
But if I could say one thing
I would ask
Was it because you were lonely
I was gone to long
She was gone to long
Almost one year alone
No longer being able to take being alone
He left
He left us
He left me
He left that little orange cup
That orange cup was sold
With its rainbow friends
And that cup would never touch my hands again
The last memory
Sold for nothing
My favorite member
Given away, like it was nothing
