Orange Peel

The truth about me...Where do I start?

My childhood was bliss

In 8th grade I had my first kiss

I love my relationship with Jesus

And my friends and family are all I need

or so it would seem

But just like everyone else, I can be a freak

I experience love and joy and rage

I get so caught up in what I look like, and social media is my cage

Sometimes I look in the mirror and I hate what I see

But that's only because I fear the real me and what people will think

I live in a world of judgement and bias

A world so selfish it's like it's King Mitus

And all I want to do is shine...

But I always seem to become hidden by the clouds.
