Origami Stars

When I first met you

You helped me write my notes down

And helped me willingly, not even knowing my name

I remeber that day I was assigned a seat next to you

And you helped me when I was struggling

and helped me with problems

I would never think how to solve

I remember the day I was sitting alone

And the day everyone already had a partner

And everyone had a friend

But you stayed

Even when I was a shallow bitch

who only cared about popularity

Or when I had no friends

and when I chose to not make any

But the thing I will remember most

is how, whenever I was down

you always gave me

an origami star

And told me everything would be okay
