The Original Americans

Born here first on this great land They came and beat you with a white hand Indians they said you are And their arrogance gave you that scar Greenville they said they would honor But instead they came and stole your daughter Firewater they gave and poisoned the tribe And the chiefs were forced to accept a bribe The Prophet asked for your ear But many would not hear They were blinded by luxuries And subjects of brutalities Assimilation on you they forced But you would not be taken off your horse Injustice they fought And their future they wrought All they gave you was a desert And it will never make up for the hurt
