Ostrich

Head in the sand, eyes on the prize.

Deeper it digs…still.

All your thoughts plummet to the depths of your being ….

                                                                                                         They can’t find you there.

Neither time nor urgency can bring you back now.

                       Head in the sand.

                                                     Deeper and Deeper.

It reminds you of that word.

                                            That word….what’s that word?

                            Bliss.

Bliss is what brings you back.

Bliss is the ignorance of the end.

Bliss feels no pinch. No prod. No knowledge.

                                                         ………….It just is.

Or was that love? …a fairy tale she put me in long ago.

Was that Bliss?

No.

That was life.

                                That was her.
