The Other

My chest, from which my breath was taken

As four eyes meet, and the souls speak

The lips in tandem, as they mock each other

With words of the unknown

Smiles transfer, from face to face

And the hearts, sink into each other

When the bodies separate,

The minds, they stay

And are synchronized with that of the other

Yet, neither spoke a word

And what was not said, was not misunderstood

Then in two places, both were there

And in the location where they first met,

The wind, it spoke the names, that of the other

The sun, different where either stood

And a love, like no other, with half a heart

They meet in the middle

Where the earth parts

But the rainbow meets

Swallowng one and then the other,

With the pride of an overlooked love

One becomes the other

And the other becomes one
