The other side

They say God has gained an angel in the sky as I lost the one I love right before my eyes. They don't understand that I just lost my heart and my soul. You were my other half and without you I'm no longer whole. I was devastated to watch you lose this fight. Losing you is like losing my eyesight. My body suddenly feels numb and weak. My voice trembled and I couldn't speak. My heart feels heavy now that you're no longer here with me. How will I be able to deal with this pain, knowing my life is no longer the same? Your voice, I will no longer hear. When I need a hand, you will no longer be there. I will no longer hear your foot steps upon the floor but the wind coming through the door. I find it so hard to believe that we've lost you and your shadow and that you'll no longer be with us starting tomorrow. Now that you've become the stars at night watching over us under the moonlight, promise me that this is not goodbye because one day I'll see you again on the other side.
