The Other Worlds That We Oppose

Look at those shoes!

So old and new

Now take a good look at those stupid, pink shoes

SO very condescending and brewed

I would never be caught dead in those silly things

Trotting around like the queen and king!

Must think they are the greatest things yet

Make a bet

Take a fret

I don’t care!

But those shoes! How dare

You wear your best share?

Why, even I am wearing a more suitable pair!

But wait.. Why are you offering me?

Didn’t you hear what I just said?

I wouldn’t be caught dead… in those threads

No! I will not wear those silly things!

I cannot afford to be in those pairs

People will think I’m silly, stupid and snooted!

I can’t take your perspective

For I do not empathize for your type!

WHY don’t you just take those off

And try on mine?

Get a little head on your shoulders and see life

As life should be!

Oh. I see how it is!

You will not try on mine?

Ha- you are just as bad as the rest!

I knew it!

Wait… this is a matter of respect now?

You’re capable of a such complicated attribute?

No!

Impossible!

Well, you hold my shoes,

And I’ll hold yours?

Fair?

Copeezse?

Good...

Wait…

No.

I am seeing your world,

SO horrific and but bold,

I can’t stand it

It’s too hard

Too much judging

Too much Pride

Much too twisted

To my Surprise

Now give me back my shoes!

I can’t stand it!

I don’t want it

Now give me my simple pair!

And take yours carefully

This beautiful pair

Now that mine are on

And yours are on

Let us go

In Peace

In Love

In Respect

May we go far in these shoes

Both old and new

For Our eyes have been exposed

To the other worlds that we behold
