Our Agreement

It's been two days 

and I'm starting to feel

like this may be easier 

than I thought.

Not going back to my normal

but not having you in my life.

I've done just fine without

but when you were here

the days did go by quicker 

and my nights were filled

with smiles that didn't fall.

Maybe you just stopped by

to give me life again

and you were never meant to stay.

It just took a little longer

for my heart to catch up 

to the plans we made.
