Our Blood, Our Hope

There has never been a world such as this

Filled to the brim with blood and gore,

but over flowing with hope and love.

On the battlefields of today

you will see flowers

you will see kids

you will see a new generation evolving.

Through the shells that fell years ago

you will see homes rebuilt

you will see hope restored.

The world is only the place you make it out to be.

The world is full of horrors untold,

but also full of beauty.

Beauty that you are sure to miss

if your eyes remain closed as they are now.

We pray for the people lost

knowing that with their sacrifice

a new generation has been born,

one created in fire and blood,

but living among the beauty.

Beauty that is now ours to posses.

The world is amazing

And life is good.

We have our life

We have our dreams

What more could you want?
