Our Corner

On our corner

I wait for the gang

Happiness is spread

with a twist of words

Profainty here

a little violence there

but it doesn't matter

for we don't care

People may wonder

even try to ponder

"Where do these kids

get there energy to stand there?"

But the answer is simple

so very simple

You would have passed it

standing there

Our energy is our joy

never ending smiles

ever-lasting jokes

past with a look

or even a touch

This is what

joy feels like

and you can feel it too

at our corner
