As I watch the days go pass
I wonder why I bother
both my mother and father sitting there
drinking and smoking away their lives.

Its sad to think
of what might happen.
I dont want them to go
so what do I do?

I take some action.
Everytime I help or
say something to them
they say they try.

However, i still fear.
Maybe in this lifetime
they will figure out
what is important here and now.

I must say I love them
and I wish them the best
as I watch my lifes directions
make it to great success.

As I complete my life
I hope they are proud.
I dont smoke or drink plus
my grades are like wow.

All A's so far
so please stop the drinking and smoking
I need you here to see me
for the greater things in life are waiting for you.

I want you to be here
and watch our lives go by,
however, it wont last unless
you give up your weakness.

So put down the drinks
and the smokes
I love you too much
to just now let you go.
