Our Escapes

We cut.

We cry.

We drink ourselves

close to death.

We pop pills.

We punch walls.

We do anything to make

the pain visible.

You can cover a cut with a bandage

But what can you do to help

the mind?

We're all damaged,

Destroyed,

Broken.

But all we're trying to do is see what's making us hurt.
