Our Greatest Downfall

Misconceptions and misinterpretations drown us all

Our own ignorance and arrogance is our greatest downfall

Closed minds and hardened hearts all around

So then deaf is our ears to loves sweet sound

We all push others away and keep up a wall

Keeping out the hurt but also the chance of love its so tall

Stuck in place we are who do not open our minds

Sometimes in the wildest places are lifes greatest finds

There's always hope although it may not seem

And for themselves everyone has the chance to redeem

So take a step back and take yourself away

Think before you act and really hear the words you say

Take the chance to see through some else's eyes

Listen to more then words see through the lies

Give more to yourself and of yourself and you may be surprised by what you find

Learn from your mistakes and leave your past behind

Assume.. makes an ass of you and me

Keep an open mind and you can set yoursef free
