Our Hands Across The Ditch

Our Hands Across The Ditch.....

Closing says it all;

Of shutting down,

Messages of hope!

Messages of love.

Messages of inevitability,

Love from across the seas in the artic temperatures of Pennsylvania,

Hope sometimes we will get to visit you in your paradise,

Much love across the seas,

Love from across this great divide,

Such a beautiful surprise on a cold, windy day.... perfect,

I will write again soon from across the seas,

I remain your cousin across the pond,

Our Hands across the Ditch,

On chance

Not long ago

A memorandum wrote,

In hope,

A spur of the moment thing,

Posted

On ancestral site,

Opening lines

“Does someone know my grandma?”

Brief beginnings came

Outpourings,

Of lost contact made,

Of lost chances renewed afresh,

Of lost love now respect,

For our here on earth

Often are the disappointments so,

Where families have gone their separate ways,

On chance,

Not that long ago,

A memorandum wrote,

In hope!

Now closing says it all,

Love from across the seas

in the artic temperatures of Pennsylvania,

Hope sometimes we will get to visit you in your paradise,

Much love across the seas,

Love from across this great divide,

Such a beautiful surprise on a cold, windy day.... perfect,

I will write again soon from across the seas,

I remain your cousin across the pond,

Our Hands across the Ditch......
