Our Hidden Fears

We are in need of love

Not hate

We are in need of care

Not despair

We are being used like dust pans

You think we are trash

As you open us up and throw us down

Our veins in our body starts to frown

We cry for attention

But yet we’re still being ignored

We wanna focus on our success

Not distress

Our world is full of oppression

As we face depression

You laugh like it’s a facade

While we’re praying to our only god

As our eyes cry out blood

Our skin is being washed away like mud

As we scream out BLACK LIVES MATTER

We should all know that it's not gon change nothing

It is crazy to say

But history will be made

They will never stop believing that our lives matter because they are too egotistical

It was never the intention to believe

That equality is possible

We are just to busy being scared to face the truth

Too busy being scared to walk out our front door

But little do we know the more we come together

The more confidence we have
