"Our Little Secret"

No one could ever see The pain that I go through In this big but lonely world There’s no one to turn to Everyone looks on the outside And sees sweet and perfect me But they don’t care about my heart And the hurt that’s underneath I’ve been carrying this for ten years And have never told a soul Even now I can still hear his voice in my ear A whisper that is so cold “be quiet, close your eyes, And don’t you say a word” My life was taken at that moment And that was the last thing that I heard I’ve lived my life in fear since then I just can’t let it go I want to get it off my chest so bad But no one could ever know I guess he was right; this is “our little secret” My hidden pain, my fear But maybe I’ll get over it one day I hope that time is near
