Our Little Secret

Hush
My fault
Hush
I could have stopped it
Hush
I wanted it
Hush
Nobody will believe me
Hush
He didn’t know it was wrong
Hush
He said he was sorry
Hush
He wouldn’t hurt me on purpose
Hush
He said it was okay
Hush
He said it was normal
Hush
He said that God created sex
Hush
If God created it, it must be okay right?
Hush
I deserved it
Hush
I shouldn’t have dressed that way
Hush
Sex is more important than love and consent
Hush
It must be okay because it felt good
Hush
I am worthless
Hush
I had this coming
Hush
No one will ever truly love me
Hush
I’m damaged goods
Hush
I am meant for nothing more than the enjoyment of men
Hush
I’m just a statistic
Hush
I’m just a piece of meat
Hush
I’m just an object
Hush
Why me?
Hush
“Don’t tell anyone.”
Hush
“It’s our little secret.”
Hush
If it were okay, I could tell someone
Hush
It’s not okay
Hush
It’s not my fault
Hush
I couldn’t have stopped it
Hush
I didn’t want it
Hush
Someone will believe me
Hush
He knew it was wrong
Hush
He wasn’t sorry
Hush
He did hurt me on purpose
Hush
It’s not okay
Hush
It’s not normal
Hush
Yes, God created sex
Hush
But he didn’t mean for it to happen this way
Hush
I didn’t deserve it
Hush
I can dress however I want
Hush
Love and consent are more important than sex
Hush
Yes, it felt good but it wasn’t okay
Hush
My body was meant to respond this way
hush
I am worthy
Hush
I didn’t have this coming
Hush
The right person will love me
Hush
I am fearfully and wonderfully made
Hush
I am meant for more than just the enjoyment of men
Hush
I’m more than a statistic
Hush
I’m more than just a piece of meat
Hush
I’m more than just an object
Hush
It’s not just me
Hush
I will tell someone
Hush
It shouldn’t be a secret
Hush
Rape culture
Hush
Has been turned into
Hush
A culture of
HUSH
