Our Love
Late one mild night,
Over the summer,
It had been a picture perfect day,
Once again I was in your arms.
You had gotten up,
Went to your room,
You had returned,
With a look of joy.
You asked, if I would stand,
And close my eyes,
You walked over to me,
Waiting there patiently for you,
Got down on one knee,
Had me to open my eyes,
There you was,
He was holding a box in one hand.
He looked at me,
With his big brown eyes,
Opened the box siting in there was a ring,
As bright as the sun.
He pulled out this ring,
Said, “Baby girl, Will you marry me?,
I want you to be with me,
For the rest of my life.
You are my other half,
You make me complete.”
Before he could finish
I said, “Yes baby.
I would love to be your wife.”
As he was standing up,
He put it on my hand,
He stood up and leaned over to kiss me.
