Our Love
There was a time before this relationship started,
Where I was alone and felt broken hearted.
So broken hearted that I began to believe love never existed,
However, once you came along that theory became twisted.
You came in and swept me off my feet,
And at this point my life felt complete.
We’ve spent so much time together and apart,
I wish I could express to you this overflowing love in my heart.
But no words can describe these feelings inside,
No action taken could help it to be implied.
With every kiss of your lips and touch of your hand,
I realize no other relationship could be so grand.
You know, people say “love is a myth”
But that’s because they never found someone as amazing as you to be with.
These have gone by so fast.
I pray this love will always last.
You need not worry on my part,
For you’ll always hold the one and only key to my heart.
Every time I leave your side,
I feel as if a part of me has died.
When you are gone I begin to miss you like the sun misses the flower in the dead of winter,
But then you return and abundance of butterflies quickly re-enter,
Zechariah, the love we share is impeccably rare,
If Taylor Lautner came along I wouldn’t care.
For I know that you are my soul-mate and I am yours,
Kinda like Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala in Star Wars.
I’ve been told love is the closest thing we have to magic,
And without your love my life would be tragic.
I know this love is what it should be,
Because you are the best thing that has ever happened to me.
I promise to protect you from every clown,
I promise to make you smile when you frown.
I promise to listen when you talk,
I promise to go with you when you just want to walk.
I promise to be the hand you can hold,
I promise to be there beside you when we grow old.
I promise to help our relationship grow,
I promise to never let you go.
I promise to love you always and forever,
I promise to support you through all we endeavor.
I promise to always call you mine,
And lastly, I promise to love you until the end of time.
