Our love

Throughout the afternoon we watch them there,

Birds flying and falling, falling from the sky

We would look up in the misty air,

Just to hear them cry

We would look at the birds and stare,

Just to see them fly

We would look for any like us, a pair,

We see only a family

They loved and shared,

Though we cared

And suddenly my thoughts then turn to you,

Who takes care of me till night

Like the birds who once flew,

Your hair soft, your eyes aglow with a kind light

My heart was like a storm when you came,

The winds blowing and boiling in me

But you, with joy and passion burning brightly,

In my heart, we danced and sang a melodic tune

Rescuing me from the storm within

Only then did our love begin

You laughed where the sad rain wept,

You smiled where the gloomy rainbow slept

Love of golden fire shimmers in your eyes,

For the heart of happiness is where yours lies

I drew your name in the sky,

But the wind blew it by

I drew your name in the sand,

But the waves washed the land

I drew your name in my heart,

Where we will never be apart

No matter how much we fight,

    Your heart's full of light

Like yin and yang, light and dark,

    You always play your part

Like the birds who once flew,

    It’s just me and you

My heart's now healed,

    for our fates are sealed
